James Hayward is a writer and historian whose books include Shingle Street, Myths & Legends of the First World War, Myths & Legends of the Second World War, The Bodies on the Beach and Shadowplayers.In 2013 his book Double Agent Snow (aka Hitler's Spy) shed fascinating new light on the famous double cross system in WW2. February 2016 sees the publication of Burn the Sea: Flame Warfare, Black Propaganda and the Nazi Plan to Invade England via The History Press. With a background as a lawyer James has established a reputation for detailed primary research and debunking bad history, allied with an engaging narrative non-fiction style.
